3. Feb 14,  · My favourite release in The Beatles Vinyl Collection. Such a terrific album - and this pressing sounds incredible! As if all of The Beatles' work wasn't masterful enough, turning it into a soundtrack and mixing it all together is sheer genius. A masterstroke. No other way to hear this in my /5(81).

4. The first appearance of the stereo mix of “Drive My Car” was on the debut of the British “Rubber Soul” album on compact disc, which was released on April 30th, American Beatles fans now had to get acclimated to hearing this track as the opening song of this album as originally intended.

Whatever the case, Rubber Soul is a deeply funny album: the gender play of “Drive My Car” (and the beep-beep backing vocals), the cabaret of “Michelle” (because nothing warms up the object of one’s desire like French), the way Lennon sucks deeply through his teeth before oozing the chorus to “Girl”. Even the album’s most earnest.

6. Apr 30,  · I really 'love' this album. To me, it sounds like what a Beatles concert would sound like today, doing their hits but mixing up like a true artist would. Also, the re-mixing of the songs, in my opinion, is a frsh way to hear these classics. And the sound is incredible, especially on vinyl.

7. My GLI-Pro SI turntable produces a very pure sound from these discs. I have little to no pops emanating from my speakers and the vinyl produces a slightly different dynamic than the CDs do. The vinyl somehow gives me a different listening experience and these days I prefer the analog to the digital/5(1).
